Environmental Policy

NRI Industrial Sales LLC maintains an Environmental Management System to improve its environmental management and reduce the environmental impacts of its operations, activities, products, and services. Our policy is designed to align with industry standards, ensure sustainability, and fulfill our environmental responsibilities.

Commitments

Within the framework of our Environmental Management System, we commit to:

  • Identifying and Managing Environmental Risks: Proactively identify materials, processes, products, and wastes that cause or may cause pollution, and implement measures to avoid, reduce, or control pollution where technically and economically viable.
  • Compliance with Regulations: Adhere to applicable environmental laws, regulations, codes of practice, and other environmental requirements to which the company subscribes. Ensure that compliance reviews by the Compliance Engineer are conducted annually to verify adherence and address any gaps.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continually enhance and improve the Environmental Management System to ensure it is appropriate and effective in achieving our environmental goals.
  • Waste Management: Commit to minimizing waste, continue collaboration with Werlor Recycling and ARS Recycling companies for plastics, mixed recycling materials, wood, and other waste streams.

Environmental Objectives

  1. Reduce waste to landfill to less than 1.5%.
  2. Achieve zero non-compliances with regulatory requirements.

Scope of Application

This policy applies to all operations of NRI Industrial Sales LLC, encompassing the owned warehouse in Delta, Ohio located at 6401 Rogers St. It is relevant to employees, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders engaged in or impacted by our operations.

Responsibilities

Environmental Representative

NRI’s Environmental Representative, Kevin Chadwick, is responsible for overseeing the implementation and management of the Environmental Management System. In his absence, Ashlie Agsten and Victoria Berezyak will serve as the designated backup to ensure continuity in responsibilities.

Employee Commitment

All employees are required to adhere to the Environmental Policy, follow sustainability guidelines, and actively participate in initiatives aimed at minimizing environmental impacts through training, daily practices, and continuous improvement efforts.

Leadership Accountability

Senior management will ensure adequate resources, support, and oversight are provided to achieve the company’s environmental objectives and maintain compliance with applicable standards.

Review Mechanisms

The Environmental Policy will be reviewed annually by the Director of Operations, Plant Manager, CEO, and other leadership managers as part of the Management Review Procedure. These reviews will follow each internal audit conducted under the ISO 14001 framework to ensure the policy’s effectiveness and alignment with organizational and regulatory standards.

Communication Plan

The Environmental Policy will be:

  • Communicated to all employees and stakeholders through training sessions and internal channels.
  • Made publicly available through our company website and included in relevant documentation.
  • Regularly reinforced through ongoing communications and updates.
