How does NRI market and sell inventory?

Each single part is listed in real-time, and through our proprietary technology, we market the material across 37 different online channels to get maximum exposure. The primary marketplaces we sell on are eBay, Amazon, Alibaba, nriparts.com, and direct to the buyer.

What is the turn-around time?

NRI provides a no cost evaluation within 2-3 days. Client provides an asset list and or a site inspection is conducted. Once a list is received a comprehensive evaluation is performed to include desirability of the material list, recovery value range and timeframe of recovery.

How does NRI price inventory?

NRI’s team consistently analyzes the market to determine the current selling value of the items we list for sale, as well as 21 years of our historical data.

What happens to unsold inventory? How does NRI handle unsellable inventory?

NRI markets and sells on 4 primary sales channels Online, Auction, Direct and Scrap. Inventory is held up to 24 months.

Who takes care of logistics? How does the process work?

The consignor is responsible for the cost of transportation to NRI’s warehouse. NRI’s logistics team can schedule the freight transportation for the consignor, or the consignors can handle the freight themselves. If NRI schedules the transportation/trucking, we do so at our cost and deduct the expense from the consignor’s monthly proceeds payment.

How do we get paid? What is the payment cycle?

Payment is made monthly on the 8th day for all prior month sales via bank wire or check.

What kind of recovery can we expect?

Recovery varies depending on the re-sale quality of the list. Typically, the consignor can expect to receive up to 32% of book value less NRI’s fees. NRI’s fees range from 40%-48% of the items selling price.

Who is the seller of record? (Consigner is owner of record until point of sale, NRI isolates consigners from sale transaction and liability)

What if I cannot pick, pack, and load?

NRI can send a crew to your site to package and load the material. NRI charges an hourly fee for this service.

Can you sell our material from our warehouses?

No, MRO and Spare parts are shipped to an NRI facility to be processed through to order fulfillment (off site consignment program). NRI can support onsite consignment sales under special project conditions.

How can we track and report on our materials? Can we reference our own tracking/reference numbers?

The consignor will have access to our online portal to track their material throughout the entire process and download accounting reports as needed. If your internal reference numbers are provided, they will be visible in the portal.

Where are your facilities located?

Delta-OH, Rio Rancho-New Mexico, Oakville-ON, UAE and Pakistan. Europe coming soon.

Can I get something back I need?

The online portal has a “recall” feature that allows the consignor to have a part sent back to them if required in their operations. The consignor is responsible only for the shipping costs associated with the recalled item.

How many locations/warehouses can participate?

There is no limit to the number of participating locations/warehouses. A specific project code is assigned to every location for easy portal tracking.

Does the portal support multiple users with different access levels?

Yes, there are three access levels. Admin Access – Admin access can only be granted to one individual. This level of access includes full access to inventory data, sales data, payment data, adjustments, shipment data, the ability to recall inventory, and the ability to revise the client payout information. Reporting Access - This level of access includes full access to inventory data, sales data, payment data, adjustments, and shipment data, and the ability to recall inventory Inventory Access – This level of access only includes access to inventory and sales data with the ability to recall inventory

What is the process to request a bid?

Client provides a surplus asset list or a site visit is required. Pictures are always helpful. A desk top analysis is performed, or site visit conducted; an offer is made, if accepted NRI makes payment and works with your facility to pick up the purchased material.

What is the turn-around time?

When NRI purchases your material, we will work within your timeframe for removal. NRI can send a crew to your site to package and load if needed, or the seller can package and load onto our trucks. NRI is responsible for all shipping costs, and no fee is charged to the seller if we send a crew on site to package and load the material.

When and how do we get paid?

Payment is made upon agreement or on mutual terms via bank wire or check.

What is the size of inventory that you can handle?

NRI has no size limits on the amount of material that we purchase or consign. NRI does not purchase larger installed equipment. NRI primarily buys or consigns only storeroom MRO/obsolete parts…anything that can fit in a Gaylord box or on a pallet.

What if I cannot pick, pack, and load?

If material is not packed, NRI can mobilize to perform these services as part of the direct purchase offer.
